The rain in Spain
During the last few weeks we have had our share of the wet stuff falling from the sky. Rain…we may not like it, but we really need it. During the long, dry months of summer, drought is an ever present threat here in southern Spain.
There are, however, many parts of Spain that do not conform to the stereotypical image of the sunny, sandy costas. Rain is no rarity in Galicia, Asturias, Cantabria or the Basque Country – the provinces of the north – so the scenery there is completely different. This lush Galician landscape could almost be a painting by one of the Old Masters!
