Everything you need to know about Marbella

Parque de la Constitución Marbella

The Parque de la Constitución (Constitution Park) in central Marbella was built in the 1980s. It was once the garden of a private residence, and occupies land that was the ancient Faro nurser. In these beautiful gardens there are still trees to be found from that old nursery, for example the numerous old cypress trees which add an outstanding ornamental detail.

Today, it is one of the most visited parks in Marbella. It has an amphitheatre that is frequently used for outdoor concerts and plays in the summer months. This amphitheatre is a beautiful example of traditional Andalucian architecture. There is a café in the park and a small observatory if you wish to see the stars. Once you enter, it is easy to forget that you are in the middle of a bustling town. There is also a small play area with swings and slides for the children. The park boasts a vast selection of vegetation from Bourganvilla and Jasmine to grand Palm and Olive trees with some tropical shrubs. Walking through it, we discover species of trees and plants from five continents, making the place an authentic cosmopolitan forest capable of hosting a wide variety of species from tropical and temperate climates, thanks to Marbella’s own benign climate. It is carefully tended and makes this a lovely place to enjoy the peace and quiet or enjoy the time with your family and friends.
