Age Concern España, a fully registered not for profit Spanish organisation, has been providing support and promoting the well being of the over 50s in Spain since 1994. Through our volunteers we provide a range of services to help with integration into Spanish life and to provide information, advice and support for common issues that affect the over 50s.
LifeLine – The aim of the LIFELINE service is to help beneficiaries to resolve their problems and also to provide friendship and support for older people who are lonely or isolated.
Visits can take place in the older person’s home‚ in residential homes or in hospitals. This service is dependant on the availability of volunteers.
Where a full LIFELINE Service is not available we can provide general advice on issues affecting the over fifties in Spain such as access to local healthcare, bus passes, respite care, and translators for a hospital visit.
Social Activities – The local Age Concern Organisations arrange a number of different social activities to bring people together. These may include day trips‚ lunches and social activities such as bingo.
They also have a number of exciting fund-raising activities to raise money to fund the vital services that are provided.
Care Equipment – The local Age Concern Organisations have care equipment which can be borrowed on a short-term basis. A deposit is required and a donation will be suggested which will be used to cover the costs of maintaining the equipment to a good standard, and replacing when necessary.Age Concern in Spain, New Marbella Office
