Triple A charity dog walk 2016
This year’s Triple A charity dog walk along the Paseo Maritimo in Marbella took place on Sunday 5 June. Participants started to arrive at the Terra Sana Restaurant in Marbella’s Plaza del Mar just after 10.00.
They registered their dogs, obtained their t-shirts and dog scarves (generously donated by Mascota Planet and Kristina Szekley – Sothebys) and treats.
Terra Sana kindly donated coffee and cakes – a lovely way to start the day. Lily van Tongeren, who works every hour of the day as a Triple A volunteer, was there to ensure everything went smoothly. Jan Weima gave a short speech to welcome everyone and explain why its so important to support this event.
With everyone registered and fed, the walk began at around 11.00. They all headed for Marbella’s Puerto Deportivo where they then took a welcome break. Once watered and refreshed, the walk continued along the Paseo Maritimo and then returned to the Terra Sana Restaurant.
The purpose, as always, is to let people know about the 350 plus dogs and 120 cats Triple A look after every day – with new ones arriving daily. They all need loving homes. With all the problems Triple A have endured recently, everyone wanted to show their support for their tireless devotion.
