Everything you need to know about Marbella

Marbella Old Town

El Casco Antiguo, 29600 Marbella
Opening Times: Most shops open from 10.00 - 14.00 & 17.00 - 20.00 (some shops are closed Sundays)

Marbella’s Old Town (Casco Antiguo) is on the north side of the Avenida Ricardo Soriano. It is well signposted and can be accessed from all sides.

Here, you can explore the unusual small family run shops in the old town’s narrow streets and plazas. Every turn is a sensation for the senses. This mixture of traditional and new shops is a haven for hand-made clothing and jewellery, with exclusive pashminas in every colour imaginable. There are specialist shops offering olive oil, souvenirs, lace and pottery by local craftsmen, all mixed with the historic architecture.

Every corner holds a surprise. And when you need some refreshment, find one of the many beautiful plazas, relax and soak up the atmosphere whilst enjoying a coffee or the more traditional churos with hot chocolate or a freshly squeezed fruit juice.

Unusually, you can usually shop here throughout the evening. You can dress up for a special evening meal and visit that special shoe or handbag shop on the way out, stopping for a cocktail in one of the many bars before eating. At night, the old town offers a very special atmosphere – not to be missed!
