Ronan Keating Global Gift Celebrity Golf Weekend

The second Ronan Keating and Global Gift Foundation celebrity golf weekend took place on 3 – 4 November this year, once again bringing celebrities to Marbella to raise funds for worthwhile causes, have a round of golf at one of our classic golf courses, eat good food and enjoy some great entertainment. MarbellaAzul.com was of course there to bring you the news and images.

Celebrity Golf Weekend 2017

The welcome dinner was held on Friday evening at the beautiful Finca Besaya in Marbella. Unusually, the weather was atrocious. A storm hit the coast early evening, bringing thunder, lightning and heavy rain not seen since the beginning of the year. But, it certainly didn’t spoil the evening.

Ronan Keating and Maria Bravo welcomed friends and celebrities to this evening of fine dining at Finca Besaya. Also there was Ronan’s wife Storm and his children, former Scottish international rugby union player and model Thom Evans and his brother Max Evans and actresses Ivonne Reyes and Elvia Llauder.

The bad weather cleared on Saturday morning as the golfers arrived at the Marbella Club Golf Resort. The event was won by the 2016 Spanish golf champion Angel Hidalgo. All those taking part enjoyed the tournament and there was the usual fun and lots of banter. They then enjoyed a lunch at Tango Restaurant in Puerto Banús.

Ronan Keating has created a golf series with exclusive events to raise funds for local charities and the Marie Keating Foundation. This golf series supports people suffering from cancer and their families around the world.

In the evening, they all headed for La Sala Banús for the sold out charity dinner and concert. Among the attendees were philanthorpist Maria Bravo, Ronan Keating and his wife Storm, Thom and Max Evans, Spanish golf champion, Angel Hidalgo, football coach Harry Redknapp, Spanish actress Evlia Llauder and actor Craig McGinlay (best known for his recent role in “King Arthur Legend Of The Sword”). Craig is a committed Global Gifter who, since he was first introduced to the work of the foundation during the Edinburgh Global Gift Gala earlier this year, has been a strong supporter of events taking place in different countries.

Ronan had the attendees on their feet singing along to a selection of his hits. Maria Bravo said. “I’m so excited. Once more, we have a full house thanks to the unconditional support of Marbella´s business people who continue to enhance their corporate social responsibility by supporting charitable work such as Ronan’s and the Global Gift Foundation”.

Ronan Keating said, “Working with Maria is really inspiring. It’s our second year together and we both thank Marbella for the total support we have received”.
