Maria Bravo & Pamela Anderson opening Playa Padre in Marbella
Maria Bravo, international businesswoman and philanthropist, unveiled her new leisure venue Playa Padre on the beautiful playa el Cable in Marbella on Saturday. MarbellaAzul.com was of course there to bring you images of the opening with a few words from Maria and her special guest Pamela Anderson.
The beach club is modern and luxurious. Nicolás Escanez, the co-owner of Playa Padre, said “We intend it to be the most international summer fashion spot in Marbella offering luxury, comfort and delicious food day and night.”
Albert Beniflah, one of the partners and a founding partner of the successful MOSH in Nueva Andalucia said “We are lucky to be opening a place on one of the best beaches in Marbella. Many people are still unaware that Marbella has a beach of such quality.”
Maria wanted to give the inauguration an international air. And that’s why she asked the well known actress and philanthropist Pamela Anderson, British models and DJ’s Ashley James and Charlotte de Carle, model Vogue Williams and host Nick Ede along for the opening.
Pamela Anderson, probably best known for her role in Baywatch, is also very active with the Pamela Anderson Foundation, a charitable organisation dedicated to human, animal and environmental rights. Javier Porcuna, Marbella’s councillor for tourism, and his wife arrived to support this new venue and to help Maria, Pamela and other partners cut the red ribbon.
Maria and Pamela both stopped to chat with Roz:
Maria, you must be delighted to see this venue open. Can you explain its connection to the Casa Global Gift here in Marbella?
“I am so happy to see it open and tonight we will give a percentage of everything we raise to Casa Global Gift. It is very important to make businesses socially responsible. So, every month this business will make a contribution to the Casa Global Gift. This is the first business in Marbella to do this, but we will be asking many more to help in the future.”
Pamela Anderson, who was pleased to hear that we are supporters of PETA, was asked about the award she received at the Paris Global Gift Gala.
She said “It really is nice to be recognized for the work you do, but more importantly, it brings awareness to the causes we support”.
The opening of Playa Padre was attended by over 300 people. The atmosphere was cheerful and relaxed. So much so that Maria and Pamela delighted the guests by taking a dip in the Mediterranean under a star filled sky. The music was provided by DJ Bedouin, providing the rhythm for this magical night.
Maria said “Marbella is my favorite place in the world with its cosmopolitan character, the fusion of styles and the mix of cultures. We wanted it to be called Playa Padre – a place with charm and authenticity in an emblematic area of Marbella”.
