Interview: Jenna Callaghan of Jenique Beauty
We have known Jenna for more than 10 years. She has a lovely, bubbly personality and finds it very easy to communicate with people. So, when we heard about her new venture, we were keen to let our readers know about jeniquebeauty.com.
She told us “Younique” (pronounced Unique) is a cosmetics company based in the USA which uses scientific research to ensure their products contain high quality ingredients that enrich and nourish the skin. As a result, their products are considered safe and compatible with virtually every skin type. They are clean, healthy and pure cosmetics which look to nature for inspiration. None of their products are tested on animals, which is extremely important for today’s women”.
So Jenna, what made you decide to start this business?
“I love meeting people and talking about make up and beauty products, so it seemed an ideal fit. Being a mum and having to work around my daughter’s busy schedule is always a juggling act. But, being able to choose my own hours is a big plus and selling something I love is great fun.”
I understand this is a new product in Spain?
“Yes, I have only been able to sell it since the beginning of June. So, the business is growing slowly. I will have the website up and running soon. At the moment, the link is directly to Younique and you can see all of the products there. I also have a Facebook page and I will be providing information regularly. You can also shop from there.”
So what makes these cosmetics so good?
“Simply, because they work. They do what they say, which is why we offer a 14 day trial on all the products. So, if you don’t love it, we will either change it or provide a refund. It is easy to offer this product, because I know you will not be disappointed. We also cover everything you need for the eyes, skin, lips, and body, along with sets and tools.”
Surely every product says that! Can you show us?
Jenna removed her sunglasses and showed us the mascara she had used on one eye. Her made up eye looked as though she had extensions on. It was full but there was no clogging.
“3D fiber mascara gives you up to 400% more. This applies to their foundation and skin care range and it does what it says it will do.”
OK, and what about the price?
“Younique is not a cheap brand, but it costs less than Clinque or Mac, even though we are using the best ingredients. So it is mid-priced. And we do have various offers on products, so keep checking the Facebook page.”
Where can we buy?
“From the Facebook page. Click on the shop or ring me. And I can take your order and deliver it if you live locally.
Where can we expect to see you with the products?
“I have done a couple of charity events – one recently for the homeless charity at El Papillon which was great fun. Other businesses have asked me to do presentations as well, so I am sure once the summer months are over we will start booking these. I am also hoping to do a full launch of the products with a big celebration. I will of course let you know when and where. We will have a fashion show as well as the make up, so a great way to introduce the range and have an enjoyable time.”
We will be trying out the range and we are hoping to persuade Jenna to give us more tips in regular articles on the website. So, if you want to know more her details are below.
