Foreigner at Puente Romano Tennis Club in Marbella

Foreigner is a UK/US rock band formed in 1976 by Mick Jones (guitar), Ian MacDonald (guitar) and Lou Gramm (vocals). The other original members were Dennis Elliott (drums), Al Greenwood (keyboards) and Ed Gagliardi (bass guitar). The band’s name was Mick Jones’s idea – they were based in New York and three of the original band members were British. To date, they have released 9 studio albums and 39 singles.

Their best known song is “I want to know what love is” which topped the singles charts in the US, the UK and in many other countries around the world. “Waiting for a girl like you” has the dubious distinction of only getting to number 2 in the US singles chart and then staying there for ten weeks.
